Annual Meeting for 2020 was postponed due to New Jersey Covid-19 Restrictions
Annual Meeting 2021:
Per the requirements of the New Jersey Cemetery Law, the trustees of the Green Cemetery will hold the annual meeting of the cemetery on Saturday 15 May 2021 at 10 AM (rain date 5/22) in the facility which is located at 500 Tanyard Road in Deptford, NJ. All attendees must comply with NJ Covid-19 mask requirements
Annual Meeting 2022:
Per the requirements of the New Jersey Cemetery Law, the trustees of the Green Cemetery located at 500 Tanyard Road in Deptford, NJ; will hold the annual meeting of the cemetery on Saturday 21 May 2022 at 10 AM (rain date 5/28) in the facility.
Annual Meeting 2023:
Per the requirements of the New Jersey Cemetery Law, the trustees of the Green Cemetery will hold the annual meeting on Saturday 20 May 2023 at 10 AM (rain date 5/27) in the facility at 500 Tanyard Road Deptford, NJ.
A brief list of our accomplishments in 2022:
Posted new rules and price List as of 1/June/2022
Tanyard Road Fencing: The main sections were completed during the summer; blacksmith was hired to repair 16 ft hole in the fence (1) and the South Gate Fence area remained incomplete
more abandoned family plots were identified and authorized for resale
PVC posts were installed marking location of the “famous graves” (see Bboard & website)
the Tankard sidewalk was repaired
Section “K” (A Potter’s Field behind the Copperfield drainage basin): Title to the previous easement was acquired; Rutgers Univ opened a historical investigation into the stones
several damaged stones and monuments were reset
Some landscaping clean-up was completed
2 more lawn mowers were donated
We applied for and received Service Trademark for the “Historic Green Cemetery” (see main gate)
We began discussions with the South Jersey Art Alliance in order to stage an Art Expo at the facility
We registered with the NJ Film Council as a potential Film Location
For the 2023 year, the Trustees are planning to:
fully open the Livermore Pathway in D-Section (top of ridge)
implementation of a marketing program which includes: install permanent signage; install permanent street, section, and path signage; and a a “Grand Reopening” event in May/2024
continue to develop group of potential Trustees / advisors
work with CF HOA to level out K-Section easement access pathway
reset more stones and monuments and continue general clean-up activities
(1) NOTE: The blacksmith installed the replacement sections of the fence and the final 170 feet Tanyard Road Fence adjoining the South Gate has now been restored
