William” Dobby” Dopson was the first paid, full-time police officer (Constable) for the City of Woodbury, N.J.
He is often regarded as “the father of little league baseball in Woodbury”, as he was instrumental in its formation (a living legacy.).
Dopson died in 1930, at the age of 94.
